I am a HUGE fan of FCD. They have done an excellent job of meeting my child where he was and working with me to help acclimate him to the daycare setting and transition to the Montessori curriculum. My child has been attending FCD for over a year and he has been thriving, both academically, social/emotionally, and with major toddler milestones (e.g. potty training, tantrums). I cannot say enough about how amazing the staff at FCD have been, both for him and for me.

Our son attended FCD for 5 years – infant to kindergarten. The staff was attentive, nurturing, and committed to the wellbeing of the children. We loved the Montessori classroom, our son learned at his own pace and with full support from the teachers. The curriculum was diverse and engaging, lots of hands on work and learning about different cultures. We saw him grow into an independent, responsible, and respectful little citizen of the world and I am grateful to the staff of the FCD for the time and effort spent teaching him.

We’ve been incredibly happy with the care, attention and education that our child has received at Frederick Montessori. We have watched her thrive in the years that she’s been there, and are immensely impressed by the support they provide to children. Her teachers clearly genuinely care for our child and know her as a kid, not just a number.
The Montessori approach they use is balanced with art and playtime too.

Absolutely love this place. The staff is super friendly and very communicative. I love how they send my husband and myself updates throughout the day and keep us up to date on what is happening at the school. I also love how they allow the students to learn at their own pace while still guiding them. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is thinking about going the Montessori route.

We enrolled our daughter at FCD for Kindergarten because we needed an in-person option for this year. We *could not* be more pleased with her experience. She has made so much progress with her teachers at FCD, who have shown so much care and support during this difficult year. They have been communicative and caring and all the staff showed they took the kids’ safety seriously. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

WE ARE SO GRATEFUL for your school. We really are so happy we could send him to your school after sending him to other daycares. Your place has a great impact on his growth and independence. We plan to stay until he goes to “real school”. Our daughter is in one of the primary classrooms and we couldn’t be more pleased with the education she is receiving at such a young age. We love seeing her independently carryover and initiate Montessori-based activities at home. FCD offers a warm, welcoming and safe environment and it is evident that the staff truly cares for the children.

We love Frederick Montessori and Art School. Our 3 yrs old started attending last year and we saw clear improvement on both his academic and behavior development. The teachers there are excellent and highly qualified as they closely follow our child’s development.

It’s so hard to leave your child in the care of others while working but my husband and I have found a safe and loving home away from home in FCDM. Our son has thrived under the care of the Infant Nido teachers and we know without a doubt that he is loved very much by the staff. We love being a part of the FCDM family!

My daughter went here ages 3-5 and had an amazing experience. She still loves school and learning and is very self-directed. She enjoyed the focus on science and cultures and the one-on-one instruction. I highly recommend this school!

Our son absolutely loves coming here, the staff is sweet and courteous, and our son is learning new things every day, Mrs. Namita, Mariam, and the great director Fazidah are wonderful! I am very thankful for the things our son is learning to be independent!

We love this school! The number of teachers to students is good and they are very accommodating. The environment is calm and fun.
Our daughter is learning a lot quickly. She always comes home with new things she’s learned. There’s a wait-list usually but would highly recommend this school.

The parent teacher conference is very informative. My son is not at the age where he can communicate in full sentences yet. So hearing from the teacher about my son’s progress at school is very important to me. This also allow the opportunity for me, as a mother, to understand what he’s going through at school everyday.

I just wanted to say a quick thank you so very much for all that you do. Every single one of you. You all are legit heroes right now and deserve all the admiration in the world. You all are doing something so important in the midst of this pandemic and I hope you are getting thanked properly. Everyone is so kind and professional when I interact with the school during drop-offs/pick-ups. A special thanks to my son’s teachers. He loves his class and it is so neat to see what he learns when he’s at school. He actually cleans up after himself at the house now! 😲 Again, thank you for braving it out there in this new covid world. I’ve heard many teachers say that it’s hard enough as it is without covid. But covid really makes it that much more difficult. I would love it if you shared this with everyone so you can all be encouraged. You deserve it!

We toured several centers before settling on FCD. It honestly adds about 30 minutes to our daily commute, but we kept searching and couldn’t find anything that compared in safety and staff quality. We are incredibly happy with our decision. Our son loves his teachers and we can focus on our work during the day, knowing that he is in the very best hands.

We Love Frederick Country Day Montessori school. My son is a student in one of their primary classrooms and loves going to school each day. The staff are kind and caring with the children and provide the children with an outstanding Montessori experience. The growth we have seen in our son since starting in the fall has been so wonderful to watch. I cannot recommend this school enough!

We have been at Frederick Country Day for a little over 2 years. We are leaving due to work relocation and are incredible sad to do so. The teachers here are what makes this school top notch. They care about his physical and emotional well being and he has learned so much… way more than I could ever teach him at home. I hope anyone reading this review schedules an appt to visit. Our daughter has been enrolled in Frederick Country Day since she was 4 months old, and has thrived under their care and instruction. From the newborn room, toddler room, her current room, the teachers and office staff have been exceptional and very devoted to our daughter. Recent changes in administration have been a great improvement as well. Montessori environment fosters independence, and we’re amazed at the skills she comes home with. Highly recommended.

My husband and I️ are very pleased with the school. They invest a lot of time with our children as a group and individually. Our two year old son loves his teacher so much he talks about her all the time. They have demonstrated to us that they are organized and care very much for children. They do nature walks, community out reach and help the children learn through pla. The staff and teachers are always friendly.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! All the teachers and staff are super friendly and personable. They all know my daughter’s name and she loves being recognized. My daughter has learned so much in such a short period of time. She may only be 2 years old, but I appreciate how much time and effort the teachers put into creating and implementing a monthly curriculum that can be suitable for toddlers. My favorite part is the emphasis on different cultures. It makes for a well rounded education from the start!
There is usually a wait list, but it is absolutely worth the wait!

The teachers, the curriculum, and the overall environment provided our children with the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop their individual skills and interests. My daughter started at this school when she was about 18 months old. I chose this school for her after visiting many others in the area. I liked this school for her because it provided a caring, clean, safe, and supportive environment. The staff are very experienced and nurturing. They follow a great curriculum and have so many awesome activities for the little ones. Over a year later, my daughter is still enrolled and has learned so much. Even I (as a first time mother) have learned a lot about helping my daughter get to the next stage through communication and suggestions from the teachers. They even share out detailed progress reports and have parent-teacher conferences. They take caring for your child seriously and have the common goal of seeing your child flourish. My daughter quickly adjusted to being at this school. She transferred to another classroom during her time at the school as well and I loved that they transitioned her so smoothly by allowing her to visit the new class more and more until she was in the new classroom all day.
Overall, I have absolutely no complaints about this school. Enrolling your child at this school is a great opportunity!

We have been with FCD for more than 5 years. My older daughter started there at 18 months. It has been a gratifying and amazing experience for both my girls and for us. The teachers are so caring and when your kids spend more time at school than at home, you want to be able to trust the people that are caring for them. I cannot say enough positive things about the school and the staff. My children are more well rounded, communicative, and kinder because of their experience at FCD- I would recommend this school to anyone!

Our 2 year old started here just a week ago and we have been so pleased with our experience thus far. The staff did a great job getting us acquainted with the school. The teachers made us feel really comfortable with insuring a smooth drop off and continued to keep us updated about the day with lots of pictures. Our little one hadn’t napped the first day but napped by the 2nd day because the teacher sat and rubbed her back until she fell asleep. I can’t tell you how much it means to my husband and I to be able to have our minds at ease knowing our kiddo is in such good hands. Our little one loves going to school!

We absolutely love this school! The staff here at Frederick Country Day are all wonderful and welcomed my children as part of their family! The montessori teaching method is fantastic and the teachers do a phenomenal job with the kids, teaching them independence and building their confidence through this. The ratio of teachers to students is perfect. My husband and I couldn’t be happier with our decision to enroll our children, ages 2 and 4, in preschool here & the kids couldn’t be happier either, which is so nice to see. The staff pour their hearts into creating a positive learning environment and all of their hard work shows. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone, especially anyone with kids who love to think outside of the box.
