In addition to arts and music, physical mobility is crucial to a well-rounded individual and few private schools provide this curriculum. At Frederick Montessori & Art School, our children participate in tumbling and dance classes.
This fun, physical extracurricular after school activity is a wonderful class to develop focus, balance and strength. The children develop their coordination through stretching and flexibility exercises and tumbling skills. The children love to tumble, cartwheel and roll and this class is a favorite
Ballet and tap is an extracurricular program that is offered after school each week. This classical dance class helps the dancers develop rhythm, strength, grace, flexibility, poise, and timing. The children have the opportunity to express themselves creatively through movement.
“My daughter just loves the afterschool dance class. She shows us dance moves she learned in class and is very happy.” -Preeti Menon
