Ms. Fazidah, Administrative Director
Ms. Fazidah has a love for Montessori and for music. She came to the USA in 1982 to study business administration from her home in Penang Island, Malaysia. She graduated from California State University, Fresno, in 1986 with a degree in Accounting and went on to graduate school at San Diego State University to pursue a business management program.
She began her career in early childhood education by earning her Montessori Diploma and adjunct Diploma in Montessori Teaching from St. Nicholas Training Centre, part of Montessori Centre International in London.
Ms. Fazidah served as Administrator at a Montessori school in Germantown, and Director at an early learning center in Frederick. She enjoys music, plays guitar and has even written a song for our Montessori community. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family.
Ms. Maria graduated from the Normal Institute for Girls in Guatemala City, Guatemala as a teacher of Pre-Primary Education. She attended the West Virginia STARS State Training for professional development for early care and education and worked from 2012-2015 at Don Boscoe Montessori in West Virginia in the Primary classroom and as a Montessori guide with toddlers.
Ms. Maria earned an AMI Primary Montessori Degree from Greenville Montessori Institute in South Carolina. Ms. Maria is from Guatemala and now lives in Martinsburg, WV with her husband and two children. She enjoys taking her children to soccer practice, singing with them and cooking typical foods from Guatemala.
Ms. Tanuja brings almost ten years of Montessori classroom experience to her classroom. She completed her American Montessori Society Montessori training in 2012 at Northern Virginia Montessori Institute in Ashburn, Virginia. She has a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in English from her native country of India.
In addition to her classroom training, she also is a Level 1-3 Yoga Teacher with training specifically for Primary aged children. She loves to share her yoga with her class and hopes to impart some focus and calming techniques with her students. She brings much energy and love for order and the Montessori approach to her classroom.
Ms. Tanuja lives in Frederick. She has a husband and two children, she loves to sing and dance with her daughter and loves spending time with family. She believes in the beauty and peacefulness of nature and loves to spend time outdoors, hiking and being in nature. She loves to travel and her favorite place to visit is the beach with her family, her most desired trip involves a trip to Paris, France. Ms. Tanuja is excited to get to know each child in her classroom and to work with the parents and staff at Frederick Country Day!
Rebecca W. has worked for Frederick Country Day Montessori for 3 years. Rebecca earned her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Hood College, after earning her Associate Degree in Teaching from Frederick Community College.
She is a MSDE certified Early Childhood Education Teacher, and holds a Montessori diploma from the North American Montessori Teacher Program. Rebecca “Becky” is passionate about working with diverse cultures, and celebrates the uniqueness of all her students.
Ms. Meaghan graduated from West Virginia University in the Spring of 2016, with a Bachelors in Child Development and Family studies. She is currently attending Mount St Mary’s University to receive her Masters in Elementary Education.
Ms. Meaghan has always loved working with children; she has coached and mentored children in gymnastics and has completed many different internships throughout her undergraduate career. In addition to spending time on her school work, she enjoys playing with her dog, traveling, and visiting her family.
